What you need to bring to the design table
Branding
I’m a Squarespace website designer and conversion copywriter, not a brand designer, so if you want a custom logo, favicon and graphics for your site, you do need to provide me with these files—created by a professional branding expert. If you need recommendations, I know some incredible, talented people! I can, however, curate a brand-friendly font combination and colour palette in Squarespace, should you need it.
Photography
The images on your website are pivotal to the best outcome from your website design project. You’ll need a collection of high-quality, on-brand images shot and edited by a professional photographer. If needed, I can search for and curate complementary stock images, but they shouldn’t be the foundation of your brand imagery, they should add to it.
Copy
Your marketing copy is actually the foundation of your Squarespace website design, so best practice is that it comes first, rather than last. I can provide a copy template for you to use, I can write your copy for you, or you can come to me with sales-focused website copy you’ve already created. (Or had a professional copywriter create for you.) Remember: Copy shapes design—and drives people’s decision to work with you and buy from you.
