Why Kristy approached me
Kristy was redesigning her website—and wanted website copy that matched the elevated new aesthetic! She had previously DIY-ed her website copy, but wanted to bring in a professional this time round. She was looking for copy that was edgy, unique and didn’t sound like it was straight from Chat GPT. (Her words.) Just as she and her talented team create stand-out branding and graphics, she wanted copy that STOOD OUT rather than blended in.
What we did
Onboarding Interview and Questionnaire to drill down into what makes Pink Pony Creative so different—specifically, their bold designs, custom graphics and combined team effort on each project—as well as Pedro the Pink Pony, duh!
Shared her inspirational story of starting Pink Pony Creative—while emphasising the power and role of stand-out, bold branding in Kristy’s own success story and business growth.
Used language and word play that tied into the Pink Pony branding—since this was such a pivotal part of Kristy’s brand identity. Think: fun elements like “best in show branding, buck the norm, lasso attention”. (Loved doing this.)
Transition the website from being about Kristy alone (as a personal brand) to being about the Agency—by spotlighting the broader team and their skills and abilities.
Highlight the importance of branding and graphic design, and clearly, creatively and concisely communicate the value of these services to Pink Pony Creative’s prospective clients.
Added fresh sales copy to the template shop.
Integrated SEO keywords for greater visibility in Google.
Some copy tidbits to show this messaging strategy in action!
The voice? Bold, confident, a lil bit of swagger.
What Kristy Says
In her off-boarding questionnaire (something I ask everyone to complete) Kristy shared that she loved her copywriting experience, finding the step-by-step copy process very easy to follow, and that she thought the Loom videos—where I explained my key copywriting decisions and respond to feedback—super helpful. And the website copy? She was (I’m grateful and happy to share), stoked!
“I was referred to Yolie for my new website copy and absolutely loved working with her. She nailed the brief of creating unique, interesting and on-brand copy with a twist of edge (and fun!). Would highly recommend her!” (See the review on Google)
